I’ve been eyeing the Nook for quite some time now but I bought it only after I knew exactly where to download ebooks for nook. I did a little probing to find out which sites had the most selection available for free downloads.

The first site I visited was, of course, Barnes&Noble. Since these guys made the Nook, I figured it was best to check out the selections on the site. As with most people, I enjoy a good dose of fiction so the first thing I did was browse through the lists in that area.

I found some really good titles considering that they were offering them for free. I quickly bookmarked the ones I wanted and proceeded on my quest to find other download ebooks for nook sites.

The thing about Nook is that it doesn’t support formats like DOC and TXT, although it supports PDF and a couple more; so I utilized the search bar on my browser and looked for free ebooks with PDF formats.

Wow, the list of search results was pretty amazing. I guess a lot of people still love reading after all, even if they don’t carry their books with them. Anyway, I clicked on a few of the suggestions and took a peek.

To my dismay, most of the free download sites don’t have a proper ebook index, and still some were so full of ads I just had to get out of the site, although there were several which proved to be impressive in terms of download ebooks for nook categories.

I had a grand time browsing through the ebook categories until I found the ones that aroused my interest. Most of the formats are compatible to the Nook, with only a few that weren’t.

But considering that only a small number of ebooks are incompatible and how easy it is to convert these few files to the PDF format, I know that I will be a regular user here.

There are download sites that offer to convert your files in any format you wish, so the file formatting issue is no big deal.

My little sis has been a voracious reader since the age of three so when she turned 14 the other day I gave her the Nook as a birthday present along with a list of nook book downloads she might want to try.

She has actually been pestering me with hints and side comments about the Nook for a few months now so she was so thrilled when I finally gave in and bought her one.

She was simply amazed by how easy it was. Moreover, with the Nook’s web capability, my sis was able to find other nook book downloads with no effort at all, sending them straight to her collection.

When this runs out, you can simply purchase an extra memory card of up to 16GB so you can enjoy your reading experience better, so you can imagine the ebooks and music files you can avail of at a lot of download sites that offer them free.

Though the gift is not considered cheap, I realize now that it was worth the price seeing my sis get all excited about it. It’s not everyday that your sis turns 14, and what better way than to give her a present that will be both fun and educational at the same time.

I can almost see all the nook book downloads she’ll have by the end of the month, and it will be no wonder if she asks me for that 16GB memory card next.

This is a little story about how I went on a quest to download ebooks for Nook even before I got my own Nook.

My friends all have Nooks, and they are constantly looking for download ebooks for nook sites to add to the growing number of ebooks they have.

Now I’m not much of gadget person but this has gotten me curious since I love reading and the thought of being able to download books and store them is definitely amazing.

So I got up, turned on the computer, and began searching for ways to download ebooks for nook myself.

With all the search results that came up with the keywords I typed in, I began to wonder if I was the only person left in this world who still reads paperbacks and heavy hardbound tomes of my favorite authors.

Needless to say, I clicked on the first link that was listed and was presented with an article on how and where to find free ebooks. The article in itself was really informative and helpful especially since I knew nothing about the Nook.

For instance, it mentioned a site for ebook readers which had numerous links to free ebooks and author profiles. This site even had links that will give the reader access to libraries.

I was beginning to get absorbed into what I was finding out, so I called one of my friends and asked where I can find more material on how to download ebooks for nook. She was surprised to say the least, knowing that I didn’t have the gadget and had no plans to purchase one (or so I thought); nonetheless she gave me the information so I eagerly checked it out.

I was amazed that it was a site for a community of Nook owners who are actually sharing their ebooks with each other. Wow, talk about harmony in reading! It was more of a book club for Nook owners, and this was a welcome bit of information especially for me since I like sharing my books (paperbacks, if you remember) to people who can also appreciate them.

Needless to say, my journey that started with curiosity on download ebooks for nook sites has opened up another avenue for me where I can take my reading to the next level while sharing with other people; and guess what? I’ll be purchasing the Nook next week.

I am a romance novel freak and don’t let my look deceive you. I am just your average sensitive girl-next-door who cannot hold back her tears when I read a heart-wrenching romance story…:P

Well, I discovered a few really cool places to find my ebooks without spending a lot of money. Some are even free…but you will only find old books there.

New ebooks? Magazines for free? Nah…you have to pay for them but I found a cheap way to get them. Will share more in my future posts.
